Intel reveals Arc Alchemist details but stays silent on the one thing we all want to know

New Arc A750 shows off graphical might, but when, Intel, when??. Intel’s latest video showcased one of its Arc Alchemist graphics card, the Arc A750 specifically, in action.

The video, as reported by Digital Trends, demonstrates the Intel Arc card outstanding frame rates between 85 and 100 on the default setting for Death Stranding.

A dual monitor system consisting of a 4K 120Hz Acer model and an Alienware QD-OLED display is being used with the graphics card in conjunction with a Core i9-12900K CPU and an Asus ROG Maximus Z690 Hero motherboard. It is evident that Intel tested the variable refresh rates (VRR) features on the Acer display, which the A750 is perfectly compatible with.

Manufacturers will have the option of installing a protocol converter to convert a DisplayPort 1.4 to HDMI 2.1 in order to use the A750 with HDMI 2.1.

Analysis: Where’s the release date?

The major problem with this demonstration isn’t what was shown but what wasn’t announced, namely, the release date.

The Intel Arc Alchemist has so far only been made available in China and India in limited quantities. The global release date, however, is still a mystery at this time. And given that Team Red presents significant opposition for Team Blue, the fact that we are still unsure of the release date for these cards is concerning.

There is a rumor that the Arc cards may not be as quick as we previously believed; if this is the case, it would add another calamity to the list. Even while that rumor was centered on the A380, it might also be true for other planes.

The only way we’ll know is by getting out hands on these cards ourselves to test, so hopefully Intel will give us some firm info for a release date soon.
