Amazon Prime is giving away Starcraft: Remastered this month

This month, Amazon Prime members can purchase a classic RTS because the newest Prime Gaming lineup has been announced. Amazon is currently giving away StarCraft: Remastered to subscription service subscribers after giving away 30 games for free during Prime Day. Prime members have until August 1 to purchase the 2017 remake of Blizzard’s vintage space-based RTS, as announced in a blog post.

This remaster is the greatest way to play StarCraft on contemporary technology because it gives the game ultra HD visuals, better audio, and complete multiplayer matchmaking. As it combines the Brood War expansion and the original StarCraft missions into one game, the primary gameplay is mostly intact.

It’s also maybe the simplest way to start the series. It introduces Jim Raynor, Kerrigan, and the rest of the crew in addition to the Terran-Zerg-Protoss struggle. Furthermore, its single-player campaigns are still relevant today, even if you never enter the fiercely competitive multiplayer arena.

Zerg rush… to get those free games

This month, there will also be an additional five games. Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders, a classic point-and-click adventure game; Beasts of Maravilla Island; Recompile; roguelite platformer ScourgeBringer; and Family Mysteries: Poisonous Promises, an independent adventure game.

Beginning on August 1, all six games will be available for pickup. Once your Prime subscription expires, you’ll still be able to download and play them. But when the next set of freebies launches in a month, be sure to claim them before they vanish.

This upcoming month, Amazon Prime members may also purchase a ton of extra in-game items. Members of Prime can get a free set of 30 Pokéballs and five Max Revives as part of the ongoing cooperation between Prime and Pokémon Go. Players of Call of Duty: Warzone, Call of Duty: Vanguard, and Battlefield 2042 can also receive a pack of cosmetics and a free Lis skin, respectively.

This past year, Prime Gaming has distributed a good number of outstanding games. Along with offering members access to Mass Effect: Legendary Edition last month, it also offered them access to Total War: Warhammer and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order back in January. Keep an eye out for the games you can get for no additional cost if you already have Amazon Prime.
